2009: Earned All-Empire 8 honorable mention accolades … enjoyed a breakout season, hitting .342, with 15 RBI, while playing great defensively behind the plate … threw out six potential base stealers … was 4-for-5 with a career-high three RBI and two runs scored in a win over Medaille … went 2-for-4 with a doubles, two runs scored and two RBI in a 13-0 win over Keuka … has at least one hit in 17 games … recorded six multiple-hit games … stole a base against St. John Fisher … recorded a sparkling .980 fielding percentage … named to the Empire 8 President’s List for maintaining a 3.75 grade-point average.

2008: Started in 11 games behind the plate … went 3-for-3 with three runs scored, and two doubles in a 14-3 win over Keuka … hit a run-scoring double against Stevens … did not make an error in 44 chances … named to the Empire 8 President's List for maintaining a 3.75 GPA.

2007: Made four starts … hit a double in three straight at-bats … recorded his first collegiate base hit to go along with a run batted in and run scored against Keuka … was 3-for-4 in a 6-5 win over Medaille … named to the Empire 8 President’s List.

Before RIT: Played two years of varsity baseball at Orchard Park High School … team captain … also played hockey.

Personal: Civil engineering technology major … son of Margaret Smith and Gregory Rodems.
