Biography
2008-09: Enjoyed a breakout season, playing in 20 games, finishing with
a 13-6-0 record … two-time Atlantic Hockey Association Goaltender of
the Week, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 … RIT Male Athlete of the Week, Oct. 13 … eighth overall in all of Division I with a .684 winning percentage … 13 wins, 2.70 goals against average and .905 save percentage are third best in one season at RIT in the Division I era … recorded his first collegiate shutout, stopping all 21 shots in a 6-0 win at Holy Cross … opened the season by stopping 33-of-34 shots in a 2-1 win at Western Michigan … stopped a career-best 39 shots, and recorded his first career assist, leading RIT to a 3-2 overtime win at Air Force … made 37 saves in a 6-2 win over Mercyhurst in his next start … won seven straight starts over a two-month span, Dec. 6 to Feb. 6 … allowed two or fewer goals in 11 starts … tied with Louis Menard for best winning percentage (.750) in AHA play … named to the AHA All- Academic team.
2007-08: Saw action in six contests … made four starts … picked up his
first collegiate win, stopping 28 shots in a 5-2 win over Holy Cross … made a career-best 30 saves in a 3-3 tie against nationally ranked, NCAA Tournament particpant, Niagara … also recorded his first collegiate assist in the tie against Niagara … stopped 44 shots in two games against Canisius.
2006-07: Appeared in two games … played the final 9:15 of an 8-3 win
over American International … allowed one goal and made a save … started the final game of the season at Bentley … stopped 27 shots.
Before RIT: Spent time with the Boston Harborwolves of the Eastern
Junior Hockey League (EJHL) and the Chicago Steel of the United States
Hockey League (USHL) in 2005-06 … established himself very quickly as
one of the top goalies in the EJHL with the Harborwolves … posted a 3.40 goals against average and a .906 save percentage … made the move in December, 2005 to the Steel … played in 15 games and had a 3.95 goals against average and a .890 save percentage.
