Biography

Career: Tied for third among all RIT defenseman in the Division I era with 73 points (20-53-73) … plus-35 rating is tied for second at RIT.
 
2012-13: Appeared in all 38 games and was tied for third nationally among all Division I defensemen in scoring with 32 points on 11 goals and 21 assists … the 11 goals were tied for the most in one season by a RIT defenseman at the Division I level … earned All-Atlantic Hockey Association first team honors … won RIT’s Tim Cordick Award, as best defenseman, and Art Thomas Teammate Award … led all AHA defensemen in scoring with 24 points (8-16-24) in 27 league contests … formed the nation’s highest scoring defensive duo along with teammate Greg Noyes (61 points) … tallied five power-play goals and 16 power-play points … main piece of RIT power-play unit that finished second nationally … tied a career-high with three points on a goal and two assists in a 5-2 win over Sacred Heart … equaled that feat with a goal and two assists at No. 17 Niagara … tallied nine points (3-6-9) over a seven-game point-scoring streak, Jan. 12 to Feb. 2 … had eight points (2-6-8) over a six-game point-scoring streak, Oct. 26 to Nov. 17 … scored a goal in three straight games, Jan. 26 to Feb. 2 … scored a goal and tied a career-high with a plus-3 rating in a 7-1 win over American International in game two of the AHA First Round series … played in his 100th career game,  dishing out two assists at Holy Cross, Nov. 17 … enjoyed six multiple-point efforts … fired 99 shots on goal … Tigers were 13-8-3 when he recorded at least one point … named to the AHA All-Academic Team.

2011-12: Limited to just 14 games played due to injury … recorded nine points (2-7-9) and was plus-6 … named MVP of the prestigious Catamount Cup hosted by Vermont … scored the game-winning power-play goal and added an assist in a 3-0 win over No. 16 Ferris State, who eventually finished the season as the NCAA national runner-up … named the RIT Male Athlete of the Week and Atlantic Hockey Association Player of the Week, Jan. 2 … dished out two assists in a wild, 6-5 win over Holy Cross … had an assist and was plus-2 in wins over Air Force and Lake Superior State … scored RIT’s lone goal, a power-play marker in his final game of the season at Wisconsin … had five assists in nine AHA contests … RIT was 6-1 when he recorded at least one point … named to the AHA All-Academic Team. 2010-11: Earned All-Atlantic Hockey Association second team honors … appeared in 37 games, leading all Tiger defensemen with five goals, 15 assists, and 20 points … among the national leaders with a plus-28 rating … recorded the second best plus-minus rating in Division I team history … named the winner of the Tim Cordick Award, given to the top RIT defenseman, as voted on by the coaching staff … named the RIT Male Athlete of the Week, Nov. 1 … tallied three power-play goals … tied for third on the squad with 12 power-play points (3-9-12) … recorded a six-game point-scoring streak (2-4-6), Feb. 13 to March 12 … scored a power-play goal with 1:48 left and recorded the primary assist on Taylor McReynolds’s game-tying goal with 29 seconds left in regulation, lifting RIT to a 3-3 draw against Sacred Heart … set a career-high with three points (1-2-3) in that contest … tied a career-high with a plus-3 rating in a 6-1 win over Sacred Heart … scored a power-play goal and fired a career-best eight shots on goal at Robert Morris … finished the season with 11 points (4-7-11) and was plus-12 over his last 14 games … was plus-14 over a 12-game stretch, Nov. 26 to Jan. 14 … had two multiple-point efforts … Tigers were 8-3-6 when he recorded a point. 2009-10: Appeared in 39 games … tallied 12 points on two goals and 10 assists and was plus-8 … recorded his first career point, an assist in his first game against Colgate … scored his first career goal and added an assist in a 3-2 win over Mercyhurst … dished out a season-high two assists in the Atlantic Hockey Association Championship victory over Sacred Heart … recorded the second assist on Brent Alexin’s game-winning goal against New Hampshire in the NCAA East Regional Championship … scored RIT’s lone goal in a 1-1 draw at Holy Cross … tallied six points (2-4-6) and was plus-14 in 26 AHA contests … recorded a point in 10 games … Tigers were 7-2-1 in those contests … earned AHA All-Academic Team honors … named to the Empire 8 President’s List for maintaining a 3.75 grade-point average. Before RIT: Played two seasons with the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) … led the Gamblers to the 2008-09 Anderson Cup for the first time in 12 years … played in 47 games for the Gamblers in 2008-09, recording seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points, while playing at a plus-21 … added six points (3-3-6) in seven playoff games … had a hand in all three Green Bay goals (1-2-3) at Waterloo … played for current RIT Assistant Coach Dave Insalaco and was a teammate of current Tigers Cameron Burt and Taylor McReynolds in Green Bay.
