Biography
2007-08: Appeared in 45 different events ... had seven first-place finishes in individual events ... teamed up to set records in the 200-yard free relay (1:40.51) and the 400-yard medley relay (4:12.14) ... won 15 events and placed second in 11, including relays ... earned her top times in four events at the NYSWCAA Championships ... was named Empire 8 Women’s Swimmer of the Week in November ... named to the Empire 8 President’s List for maintaining a 3.75 grade-point average.
2006-07: Became one of RIT’s top swimmers … swam in 27 different events … was part of the 800-yard freestyle relay team that set a school record (7:59.60) … won seven events, placed second four times and had two third place finishes … recorded top times of 2:01.30 and 5:33.74 in the 200- and 500-yard freestyle, respectively, at the UNYSCSA meet.
Before RIT: Swam four years varsity for Victor High School ... senior captain ... All-League two years ... team was league and sectional champions all four years.
Personal: Nutrition management major ... born Oct. 1, 1987 in Rochester, N.Y. ... daughter of Susan and Thomas Palomaki.
