2006-07: Became one of the top forwards in the Empire 8 … played in all 27 games … started the final 24 contests … scored in double figures in 24 straight games to start the season … earned All-Empire 8 second team honors … named Empire 8 Rookie of the Week, Dec. 11 … earned RIT Male Athlete of the Week honors, Nov. 27 … second on the team in scoring (13.8 ppg.), rebounding (6.4 rpg.), assists (64), steals (49) and third in field goal percentage (49.3 percent) … scored a season-high 24 points on 10-of-12 shooting to go along with six rebounds and four assists against Utica … recorded two double-doubles, against St. Lawrence and Roberts Wesleyan … tallied a season-high 11 rebounds against Roberts Wesleyan … scored 22 points in the J.P. Morgan Chase Scholarship Tournament opener against St. John Fisher … led the tournament with 56 points in three games … earned Second Team All- J.P. Morgan Chase Scholarship Tournament team honors … his 49 steals are tied for 11th in one season at RIT … recorded six steals in the Harold J. Brodie Tournament Championship win over Houghton … named to Brodie Tournament All-Tournament team.

Before RIT: Played last season at Onondaga Community College for Head Coach Dave Pasiak … averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and two steals a game … played four years at Bishop Grimes High School for Head Coach Jamie Evans … 1,000-point scorer … named team MVP … earned All-Region and All-League honors.

Personal: Civil engineering technology major … son of Esther and Kenneth Gethers.

Coach McVean says: “We look for Kenny to step up and have an even greater role this season. He has worked hard in the off-season to improve his perimeter shooting that will compliment his ability to get to the basket. We also look for him to be a significant leader for our younger guys.”
