Biography

2018: Made nine appearances on the mound … tied for third on the team with seven starts … picked up a pair of wins, while striking out 42 batters in 39 1/3 innings … led all RIT starting pitchers and was among the Liberty League leaders by allowing opponents to hit just .223 against him … struck out a season-high nine batters over four innings against Union … struck out six batters, while throwing three innings of scoreless, hitless relief to pick up the victory in a 6-1 win over The College at Brockport … carried a shutout into the bottom of the seventh inning, shutting down the potent University of Rochester offense in a 3-2 victory over the Yellowjackets … struck out five batters in two innings against Elmira … threw a season-high seven innings in the Liberty League Tournament against Rochester … named to the Liberty League All-Academic team for maintaining at least a 3.30 grade-point average. 2017: Enjoyed a breakout sophomore season on the mound for RIT, compiling a 6-0 record and one save in 12 appearances … led the team with a 1.79 ERA and 0.93 WHIP to go along with 56 strikeouts and just 12 walks allowed in 55 1/3 innings pitched … held opponents to a .202 batting average, which led the team and all Liberty League pitchers … had 17th best WHIP and 28th best ERA in all of Division III … allowed 6.51 hits over nine innings, 41st nationally … earned ABCA/Rawlings All-New York Region third team honors … was an All-Liberty League second team selection … his 1.79 ERA is the tenth lowest in one season at RIT and lowest since 1995 … dominant in Liberty League play, going 4-0 in six appearances with an incredible 0.33 ERA and 0.70 WHIP, striking out 31 batters and walking four in 27 innings … was named to the Liberty League Championship All-Tournament Team and was the Liberty League Pitcher of the Week on May 15 … named the RIT Male Athlete of the Week, May 22 … came on in relief and threw 10 1/3 scoreless innings, striking out a career-high 12 batters on a career-high 128 pitches in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional against Lesley University … threw three innings of scoreless relief to earn the win, as RIT rallied for a 12-11 win at Rensselaer … picked up a three-inning save, throwing just 31 pitches … threw his first collegiate complete-game and shutout, allowing just three hits and striking out 11 batters on just 88 pitches in an 8-0 win over St. Lawrence …allowed seven hits and one run to pick up the win in the Liberty League Championship game over Clarkson … allowed just one run over six innings, striking out eight batters to earn the win in a 12-2 victory at Rochester … fired five scoreless innings, allowing four hits in a 10-0 win at Skidmore … finished the season by allowing just one run and striking out 32 batters over his final four appearances, spanning 28 1/3 innings. 2016: Appeared in 13 games on the mound … made three starts … recorded two victories … threw a hitless inning of relief in his collegiate debut, a 7-3 win over Fredonia State … earned his first collegiate win, throwing four innings of scoreless relief in a 7-4 win over Clarkson University … made his first start against Union, throwing a season-high 4 1/3 innings … threw a hitless inning to pick up his second win, as RIT defeated Rensselaer, 4-3 in 10 innings … struck out a season-high four batters in the season finale against NCAA Division III World Series Finalist St. John Fisher. Before RIT: Played two years of varsity baseball at Geneseo High School … career record of 9-2 … recorded a miniscule 0.45 ERA in 78 innings … struck out 114 batters … was a Section V Class C exceptional senior … was named the Section V Conference Tournament most valuable player in 2015 … team won the 2015 Section V Championship and reached the New York State Finals.
