Biography
2017-18: Competed in several middle and long distance events … set new career best marks in the 100- (1:04.92), 500- (5:50.70) 1,000- (12:14.91) and 1,650-yard (20:14.10) freestyle events, as well as the 100- (1:20.48) and 200- (2:48.54) yard breaststroke … earned a pair of top-three finishes … recorded RIT’s third fastest time (12:14.91) in the 1,000-yard freestyle … earned Liberty League All-Academic Team honors for maintaining a 3.30 grade-point average.
2016-17: Competed in several short and middle distance events … set new personal best times in the 50-yard, (29.11) 100-yard (1:05.15), 500-yard (5:51.38), and 1,000-yard (12:21.77) freestyles … placed in the top-10 seven times, including three top fives … named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team.

Personal: Industrial engineering major ... from Bogota, Columbia ... daughter of Juan Carlos Echavarria and Marie Fernanda Guarin ... has three siblings: Maria Alejandra, Ana Lucia and Maria Feranada.
