Men's Soccer loses 3-0 to Penn State Behrend

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT men's soccer team lost 3-0 to Penn State Behrend in non-conference action, Wednesday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Junior forward Robin Giesing had a chance in the 13th minute. He broke in one-on-one with Behrend's keeper, but his shot hit off the post and away.
  • Adam Thompson scored in the 15th minute to give the Lions a 1-0 lead.
  • Cooper Nichols gave Penn State Behrend a 2-0 lead on his goal in the 33rd minute.
  • Senior Gabriel Zaninetti and Tate Pottle had shots on goal late in the opening half saved by Connor Cross.
  • RIT fired nine shots in the second half, including one on target.
  • Nate Coleman scored in the 49th minute to make it a 3-0 final.
 
GAME NOTES:
  • RIT outshot Penn State Behrend, 19-7.
  • RIT team took seven corner kicks to three for the Lions.
  • Junior goalie Owen Hallagan finished with four saves.
