ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Nine members of the RIT men's and women's cross country and track and field teams were recently named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.

Rania Sabri and junior
Kathryn Arbegast were named to the women's at-large team. On the men's side, Juniors
Erich Brown,
Jack DeFeo,
Sebastian Montalvo and
Ryan Swenson and sophomore
John Elliot were selected.
To be considered, nominees had to have achieved at least a sophomore standing and a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average while playing a prominent role on the field of competition.
Arbegast finished third in the Atlantic Region (21:47.2) as well as 60th nationally (22:21.0). She placed third at the Liberty League Championship (22:20.0). She also holds a 3.92 GPA majoring in 3D digital design.
Crisci finished the outdoor season seventh in the Atlantic Region in the 400 hurdles (1:04.52) as well 23rd regionally in the 400 (25.91) during the indoor season. She also graduated with a 3.74 GPA majoring in biochemistry.
Kulp finished the outdoor season third in the Atlantic Region and 44th nationally in the 100 (12.02) as well as eighth regionally in the long jump (5.52). She was fourth regionally and 28
th nationally during the indoor season at long jump (5.65) and sixth regionally in the 60 (7.72). She also graduated with a 4.00 GPA majoring in biochemistry and molecular bioscience.
Sabri finished the outdoor season eighth in the Atlantic Region and 14th nationally in the 100 hurdles (14.6) as well as 10th regionally during the indoor season in the 60 hurdles (9.2). She also graduated with a 3.97 GPA majoring in accounting.
Brown finished the outdoor season eighth in the Atlantic Region in the high jump (1.94m) as well as fifth during the indoor season in the high jump (1.95m). He also holds a 3.83 GPA majoring in mechanical engineering.
DeFeo finished the outdoor season second in the Atlantic Region and tied for 15th nationally in the 400 (47.14) as well as third regionally and 26th nationally during the indoor season in the 400 (48.07). He also holds a 3.83 GPA majoring in computer exploration.
Elliot finished the outdoor season ninth in the Atlantic Region in the 800 (1:42.60) as well as fourth regionally and 35th nationally during the indoor season in the 800 (1:52.04). He also holds a 3.93 GPA majoring in mechanical engineering.
Montalvo finished the cross-country season 25th in the Atlantic Region. During the outdoor season, Montalvo finished fifth in the Atlantic Region in the 10,000 (31:06.39) as well as 15th during the indoor season in the 5,000 (15:08.69). He also holds a 3.73 GPA majoring in computer science.
Swenson finished the outdoor season eighth in the Atlantic Region in the pole vault (4.56m) as well as 12th during the indoor season in the pole vault (4.6m). He also holds a 3.83 GPA majoring in 3D digital design.
