Women's Lacrosse loses 14-7 at St. Lawrence

CANTON, N.Y. – RIT sophomore attack Serafina Kiselgof and junior midfielder Lily DePalma each tallied two goals and an assist in the Tigers 14-7 loss at St. Lawrence in the regular season finale, Saturday.
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • St. Lawrence led 5-0 after the first quarter, extending its lead to 6-0 on Liz Evans' goal early in the second quarter.
  • DePalma scored off an assist from senior attack Carrissa Hlywa midway through the second to cut the Saints' lead to 6-1.
  • The Saints scored three straight goals, taking a 9-1 lead on Evans' second goal of the opening half.
  • Sophomore attack Adele Jones and sophomore midfielder Kate Trojan tallied back-to-back goals for RIT, cutting St. Lawrence's lead to 9-3 on Trojan's goal with 58 seconds remaining in the second.
  • Jessica LaPlaca gave St. Lawrence a 10-3 lead on her goal with 4:25 to play in the third quarter.
  • Kiselgof scored with 44 seconds to play in the third to cut the Saints' lead to 10-4.
  • DePalma and Kiselgof each scored early in the fourth quarter, cutting the St. Lawrence lead to 10-6 on Kiselgof's goal with 12:55 remaining.
  • St. Lawrence ran off four straight goals, extending its lead to 14-6 on Neve Ley's goal with 4:39 remaining.
  • Sophomore midfielder Morgan Nichter scored with 31 seconds remaining to make it a 14-7 final.
 
GAME NOTES
  • St. Lawrence outshot RIT, 28-21
  • Sophomore goalie Ellie Ruddy made 10 saves for the Tigers.
  • First-year defender Katherine Killian won five draw controls, caused three turnovers, and had two ground balls.
