Women's Hockey loses 3-0 at Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The RIT women's hockey team lost 3-0 at Syracuse in College Hockey America action, Saturday.
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Senior forward Lindsay Maloney, junior forward Athena Vasdani and sophomore forward Lexi Sung each had three shots on net for RIT in a scoreless first period.
  • Sophomore goalie Sophia Bellina made four saves in the opening frame.
  • Senior forward Nicole Ness had two chances at 12:47 of the second period turned aside by Syracuse goalie, Allie Kelley.
  • Syracuse's Charlotte Hallett scored at 19:36 of the second period to give the Orange the lead.
  • Darci Johal scored an empty-net goal at 18:48 of the third period, and Sarah Thompson scored with one second remaining on the clock to make it a 3-0 final.
