ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT first-year goaltender
Jakub Krbecek was voted the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week, announced Monday.
- Krbecek made 32 saves to preserve a 3-2 victory at Clarkson on Sunday in his first collegiate start.
- He did not allow and even-strength goal, as the Golden Knights scored a power-play tally in the second period as well as with 2.3 seconds left in regulation with their goaltender pulled.
- Krbecek's day included 15 saves in the second period and another 12 in the third
RIT opens Atlantic Hockey play this week, traveling to Mercyhurst for a 7:00 p.m. faceoff on Friday (Oct. 11) and a 4:00 p.m. faceoff on Saturday (Oct. 12).
