Women's Hockey loses 5-2 at Mercyhurst

ERIE, PA – RIT junior forward Kylie Aquaro and senior forward Emma Roland each scored in the Tigers 5-2 loss at Mercyhurst, Saturday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Aquaro scored at 18:16 of the first period off assists from first year forward Addie Alvarez and sophomore forward Jaidan Fahrny to give RIT the lead.
  • Roland scored 1:01 later from junior defendewoman Jessie Burks to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead.
  • Mercyhurst's Mary Kromler scored at 8:19 of the second period to make it a 2-1 game.
  • Sara Boucher scored the first of two power play goals at 13:22 and again at 14:13 to give the Lakers a 3-2 lead.
  • Olivia Cvar scored a pair of third-period goals at nine minutes and 14:49 to make it a 5-2 final.
 
GAME NOTES
  • Mercyhurst outshot RIT, 39-24
  • Junior goalie Sarah Coe made 33 saves in net for the Tigers
  • Senior defensewoman Mia Tsilemos blocked four of the Tiger's 16 shots
