ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT first year wrestler Bryson Vaughn was named the SUNYAC Rookie Wrestler of the Week, announced by the league office Monday.

Vaughn won the 141 lb. weight class to help the Tigers to a second-place finish at the Will Abele Invitational, last Saturday. After a bye, top-seeded Vaughn defeated Andrew Minko with a 16-1 technical fall. He defeated Aaron Morocho with an 11-0 major decision in the quarter finals and defeated Josh Post 5-0 in the semifinals. Vaughn defeated Isaiah Shafer, 5-3 in the title match.

RIT returns to action on Thursday (Jan. 25) at Oswego at 7:00 p.m.
