Women's Hockey ties RPI, 1-1

TROY, N.Y. – RIT first-year forward Addie Alvarez scored her first collegiate goal in the Tigers 1-1 draw at RPI, Sunday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Morgan Skoda scored on a one-timer at 5:55 of the second period off an assist from Riena Jahnke.
  • Alvarez tied it on her goal at 4:27 of the third period off a shot from the left slot off a feed from junior forward Jordyn Bear.
  • Senior Lindsay Maloney and sophomore forward Lexi Sung had shots late in the third period saved by RPI goalie Amanda Rampado.
  • First-year forward Emma Pickering fired three of her six shot in the overtime, including two from close range inside the final two minutes.
 
GAME NOTES:
  • RIT outshot RPI, 36-34.
  • Junior goalie Sarah Coe made 35 saves, including 15 in the second period.
  • The Tigers went scoreless on their lone power play
