HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nichter scored twice in a five-goal first quarter for RIT. She gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead on her goal with 12:16 remaining, and a 4-0 lead off an assist from Heffernan with 9:16 to play.
- First-year Ella Doan gave RIT the lead 37-seconds into the game, while classmate Kate Trojan scored off an assist from Heffernan to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead.
- Junior Carrissa Hlywa scored with 2:46 to play to give RIT a 5-0 lead after the first quarter.
- Maizy Veich scored twice in a five-goal run for Ithaca in the second quarter. She scored with 6:06 to play to cut the RIT lead to 5-2, and again with 29-seconds remaining to tie the score at 5-5 at halftime.
- Ithaca's Caroline Wise gave Ithaca a 6-5 lead on her goal early in the third quarter.
- Jones scored off an assist from junior Julia Tenney with 11:46 to play to tie the score at 6-6.
- Ithaca scored the final four goals of the quarter, taking a 10-6 lead on Veitch's goal in the closing seconds of the third.
- The Bombers scored the first three goals of the fourth quarter to extend their lead to 13-6.
- DePalma cut the Ithaca lead to 13-7 on her goal with 7:47 remaining.
- Ithaca scored again to make the score 14-7, but senior Baylee West scored a free=position goal with 4:45 remaining to cut the lead to 14-8.
- Ithaca scored twice in the final four minutes to make it a 16-8 final.
GAME NOTES
- Ithaca out-shot RIT, 47-15.
- The Tigers won 11 draw controls and caused eight turnovers.
- RIT was 17-of-26 on clears.
