PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The RIT women's tennis team defeated Nazareth, 9-0 in non-conference action, Tuesday.
The first doubles team of graduate student
Kirsten Auble and junior
Jackie Drozd defeated Catherine Zak and Ali Klee, 8-4.
Junior
Abby Murray and sophomore
Gabby Donohue defeated Theresa Hecht and Katelyn Spath, 8-2 in second doubles, while first years
Devon Mills and
Anika Galkiewicz beat Sarah Stone and Aly Agnello, 8-5 in third doubles.
Auble defeated Zak 6-3, 6-3 in first singles and Drozd did not lose a game in her win over Spath in second singles. Donohue dropped three games in her win in third singles and Murray lost once in her straight-set win in fourth singles.
Galkiewicz defeated Klee 6-2, in fifth singles and Mills won a hard-fought 7-5, 7-5 win in sixth singles.
RIT returns to action on Saturday (March 4) at New York University at 10:00 a.m.
