Women's Soccer ties Nazareth, 1-1

PITTSFORD, N.Y. - RIT senior midfielder Jessie Gomez scores her third goal of the season as the Tigers tied Nazareth, 1-1, Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Firing away early, Gomez scored the Tigers' goal in the second minute with junior midfielder Olivia Harris earning the assist
  • In the fifth and sixth minute, Harris and Gomez took shots inside the box that were saved by the Nazareth goalkeeper
  • In the 47th minute, first-year midfielder Emma Pedro took a shot outside the box that went off of the left post
  • Nazareth's McKenna Miller scored the equalizing goal in the 53rd minute
  • Senior midfielder Corinne Amato had an opportunity to win the game in the 88th minute, but her shot was saved 
GAME NOTES
  • RIT out-shot Nazareth 19-5, with 11 on-target
  • Nazareth's goalkeeper had 10 saves
  • Harris' assist was her team-best fourth of the season
