GENEVA, NY -- The RIT women's tennis team had a fine showing at the 2022 Mary Hosking Invitational hosted by William Smith.
Senior
Kirsten Auble advanced to the semifinals of "A" Flight Singles, while the team of sophomore
Gabby Donohue and senior
Julianne Ho advanced to the quarterfinal of "A" Flight Doubles.
Auble advanced to the quarterfinal with walkover against Sanjana Karnum (Rochester) in the first round. She went on to beat Ithaca's Zoe Davis, 8-5 in the quarterfinal, before falling to Catherine Gamble (St. Lawrence) in the semifinal.
In doubles, Donohue and Ho teamed up to defeat Stephanie Kim and Neha Dan (Rochester), 8-5 in their first-match, before falling to Catherine Gamble and Molly Jespersen (St. Lawrence), 8-6 in the quarterfinal.
In addition to host William Smith, Geneseo, Nazareth, St. Lawrence, Ithaca and Union participated in this year's tournament.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 17, for the first day of competition at the St. Lawrence Invitational.
