Samantha Cox logged a career-high 16 kills while sophomore outside hitter
Liv Benard added 14 kills to lead the Tigers to a 3-1 () victory over Oneonta on the second day of the University of Rochester Invitational, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Junior setter Sydney Neff compiled 45 assists and five digs en route to being named to the All-Tournament Team.
- Junior libero Jessica Klein picked up a match-high 17 digs.
- The Tigers totaled 13 service aces, including four by Neff and three by junior middle blocker Grace Phelan.
- Graduate student middle blocker Calista Gasper checked in with seven kills and a pair of blocks.
- RIT held Oneonta to a .106 attack percentage for the match.
WHAT'S NEXT
RIT (2-1) heads to Rhode Island next weekend to take on Salve Regina on Friday (Sept. 9) at 5:00 p.m. before taking on host Johnson & Wales (11:00 a.m.) and Babson (1:30 p.m.) on Saturday (Sept. 10).
