DAVENPORT, FLA. – RIT senior outfielder
Chris Reilly finished with a pair of hits and RBI, including a walk-off homerun, that gave the Tigers a 2-1 win over St. Vincent at Northeast Region Park, Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- RIT took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Senior third baseman Patrick Blackall doubled and advanced to third after sophomore second baseman Nate Kistler grounded out. Reilly singled to score Blackall.
- St. Vincent tied the game, 1-1, in the fourth inning. The Bearcats started the inning with a double and single. Their third batter reached on an error that brought their first batter across the plate.
- Reilly was the lone RIT batter in the bottom of the ninth and recorded his first home run of the season with a walk-off to give the Tigers the 2-1 win.
- Senior centerfielder Will Porter finished with a pair of singles after going 2-for-3.
- Junior pitcher Alex Slotter recorded his first win of the season after throwing the last three innings in relief of graduate student Collin Reformat. Slotter allowed one hit, one walk and no runs with five strikeouts. Reformat allowed five hits, one walk, and one run (unearned) with seven strikeouts in six innings of work.

RIT plays its first doubleheader of the season against Penn State-Altoona on Saturday, March 5 with the first game slated for 10 a.m., followed by a 1 p.m. start in Auburndale, Fla. Penn State will provide links for streaming video as well as live stats.
