Men's Soccer beats RPI in OT in Liberty League Quarterfinal

TROY, NY – RIT senior forward Randy Dickersbach scored in 103rd minute to lead the No. 5 Tigers to a 2-1 win at No. 4 RPI in Tuesday's Liberty League Tournament Quarterfinal game.
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • First-year defender Tate Pottle scored in the ninth minute to give RIT the lead. Sophomore defender David Merriman kept the ball alive in the box off a Tigers corner kick, allowing Pottle to poke a loose ball into the.
  • RPI's Paul Silva converted a penalty kick in the 35th minute to tie the score at 1-1.
  • Dickersbach scored the game-winner off an assist from junior midfielder Jonathan Cohen with seven minutes remaining in the second overtime.
 
GAME NOTES
  • RIT outshot RPI 14-10, including seven on target.
