ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Five RIT student-athletes were honored by the Liberty League with Player of the Week recognition, announced Monday, October 17.
Sophomore diver
Kaylea Oliver and first-year swimmer
Lorelei Robinson were named Women's Diver and Rookie of the Week.
On the men's side, senior midfielder
Randy Dickersbach and first-year forward
Gabriel Zaninetti were named Men's Soccer Offensive Performer and Rookie of the Week, while first-year swimmer
Miles Lim was named Men's Swimming and Diving Rookie of the Week.
Oliver won the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions in RIT's 214-64 win over Alfred, Saturday. She won the 1-meter competition with a score of 239.10 and the 3-meter competition with a score of 250.75.
Robinson won two individual events to help lead RIT to a 214-64 win over Alfred, Saturday. The first-year swimmer won the 1000 freestyle (11:31.80) and 500 freestyle (5:35.85).
Dickersbach tallied two goals, fired two shots and played 137 minutes to help lead RIT to a 1-0-1 record last week. The senior midfielder scored in the 20th minute in the Tigers 1-1 draw against RPI, Friday, and gave RIT a 1-0 lead on his goal in the 55th minute in Saturday's 2-0 win over Skidmore.
Zaninetti scored his first collegiate goal in RIT's 2-0 win over Skidmore, Saturday. He dribbled into the Skidmore penalty box and fired a shot into the corner in the 78th minute to give RIT a 2-0 lead.
Lim won the 200 butterfly (1:57.70) to help RIT to a 215-79 win over Alfred, Saturday.
