Softball swept at Clarkson, 13-0, 4-2

POTSDAM, N.Y. - The RIT softball team lost, 13-0 and 4-2, at Clarkson, Tuesday, in a LIberty League doubleheader.

Clarkson scored six in the first inning and six more in the third inning and tacked on one more in the fourth while holding the Tigers scoreless in the opener.

Game two was scoreless until the Golden Knights plated two in the fifth and another two in the sixth for a 4-0 lead. RIT brought two across after loading the bases in the seventh. Senior pinch hitter Brianna Bilich (Penryn, CA/Del Oro) hit a grounder to second that plated sophomore left fielder Natalie Barrera (Worcester, MA/Doherty Memorial) before an error by the second baseman trying to force the runner at second allowed junior pinch runner Jennifer Vickery (Gloversville, NY/Gloversville) to come around as well.

RIT is scheduled to host Rochester this Saturday (Apr. 10) for a 1:00 p.m. doubleheader.
