Baseball falls twice at Brockport, 2-1, 3-0

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – RIT lost both ends of a non-league doubleheader at Brockport, Wednesday, falling 2-1 in the opener before taking a 3-0 loss in game-two.
 
GAME 1 – Brockport 2, RIT 1
Brockport scored both its runs in the third inning. Justin Pangburn drew a lead-off walk and eventually came around on an RBI single by Matt O'Dair. Nicholas Pastore later doubled to bring home O'Dair.
 
RIT answered with a run in the fourth after Randy Dodig (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) was hit by a pitch to start the inning. Dodig advanced to third on a double to left by Blackall and came home on a sacrifice fly by Ian Libby (Melrose, MA/Malden Catholic).
 
Tiger starter Matt Vitro (Carmel, NY/Carmel) took the loss, allowing both runs and only two hits in 2.1 innings of work. Reagan Farley (Clifton Park, NY/Shenedehowa) only allowed three hits in 3.2 innings of scoreless relief.
 
GAME 2 – Brockport 3, RIT 0
Brockport once again scored two runs in the third inning after Pangburn led off with a single to right and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by James Houlahan. Ryan Mansell followed with an RBI triple before coming home on a double by Ryan Mansell.
 
RIT starter Arnold took the loss, allowing two runs and four hits in three innings of work.
