ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (2-2) men's tennis team lost 5-4 in a hard-fought non-conference match at the University of Rochester (1-1) Wednesday afternoon.
The team of senior
Jacob Meyerson (Cranston, RI/Cranston West) and junior
Jake Wolicki (Canton, MA/Canton) won RIT's lone point in doubles, defeating the team of Kenneth Lee and Adrian Zhang, 8-4 at second doubles. In singles, Wolicki was a 6-4, 7-5 winner over Zhang at fourth singles. Senior
Nick Lim (Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell) picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win over Thomas Xue at fifth singles, while Meyerson dropped just a single game in a straight-set win over Lee at sixth singles.
RIT is scheduled to host St. John Fisher College on Saturday, April 2, at 2 p.m. at Mendon Racquet Club.
