Women’s Hockey begins December at Lindenwood

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The RIT women's hockey team travels to CHA opponent Lindenwood for a weekend series Friday (Dec. 3), and Saturday (Dec. 4).

TIGER SCORING LEADERS
Sophmore forwards Lindsay Maloney and Emma Roland each have a team-best seven points. Roland leads the Tigers with five goals, while Maloney and freshman defender Bailey Kehl's four assists lead the team.
 
RANKED FIRST NATIONALLY
RIT remains first nationally in NCAA team saves with 668. Senior defender Taylor Sims' 50 blocks are tops nationally. Junior goaltender Taylor Liotta's 65 saves at Minnesota (Nov. 13) are the most in a game this season.

NATION'S TOP-25
Freshman goaltender Sarah Coe's 495 saves rank her fourth in the nation. Senior forward Abby Davies is 21st in the nation with 155 faceoff wins, while Maloney's 152 are 23rd best.

THIRD PERIOD BLUES
RIT has either led, tied, or trailed by a goal entering the third period on eight occasions this season.
 
LAST TIME OUT
RIT enters its weekend series against the Lions after a 5-1 loss to visiting St. Lawrence, Nov. 23. RIT won the special teams battle with one power-play goal, while killing three opposition power plays.
 
ABOUT THE LIONS
Lindenwood enters this weekend's series against RIT after a pair of losses to Bemidji State, 4-1 (Nov. 26) and 4-3 OT (Nov. 27), last weekend. The Lions sit fourth in the CHA, two points ahead of RIT. The Lions are led by a pair of graduate student forwards. Sierra Burt's 11 points and eight assists are team bests, while Valerie Caldwell leads the Lions in goals, including her fifth of the season which forced overtime against the Beavers last weekend.

RIT VS. LINDENWOOD - HISTORY
RIT and Lindenwood are 10-11-5 all-time with the edge going to the Lions. Lindenwood also holds the edge in the teams' last 10 meetings (6-4) that includes a pair of wins last season in Rochester, 2-0 (Jan. 10) and 5-1 (Jan. 11).
