Men's Soccer loses 1-0 to Skidmore in Liberty League Quarterfinal

ROCHESTER, NY – The No. 3 RIT (10-4-4) men's soccer team lost 1-0 to No. 6 Skidmore (9-5-3) in the Liberty League Quarterfinal Tuesday. The Thoroughbreds will face No. 2 Ithaca in the Liberty League Semifinals on Saturday.
 
How It Happened
  • Skidmore senior forward Isaac Myran broke a scoreless tie with his goal in the 48th minute. Daniel Cornicello fired in a service. Myran volleyed a shot past RIT goalkeeper Jason Trapp.
  • Junior forward Josh Price had a chance in the 70th minute, but his shot from 15-yards out sailed over the cross-bar.
  • Price had another chance in the 84th minute, but his shot was saved by Skidmore keeper Bobby Stratts.
  • Freshman Jaden Longdon had a shot saved by Stratts in the 85th minute.
 
Match Notes
  • RIT out-shot Skidmore 11-7. The Tigers fired five shots on net to three for the Thoroughbreds.
  • Trapp made two saves for RIT. Trapp finishes the season with seven wins.
