Women's Soccer wins third straight with 3-0 victory over Rensselaer

ROCHESTER, NY – RIT (7-2-3, 2-1-2 Liberty League) junior defender Erin Allor scored a goal and added an assist to lead the Tigers to a 3-0 win over Rensselaer (4-3-4, 1-2-2 Liberty League) Friday.
 
How it Happened
  • Junior Christine Cataldo-Smith scored in the ninth minute to give RIT the early lead. She scored off her own rebound on a service from senior Jessica Wagner.
  • Allor scored in the 72nd minute on a shot from 20-yards out off an assist from junior Adriana Rodriguez.
  • Sophomore Elle Halleck scored her first collegiate goal in the 89th minute off an assist from Allor to make it a 3-0 final.
 Game Notes
  • RIT out-shot Rensselaer 18-7, including eight shots on net for the Tigers.
  • Junior Darcie Jones made five saves, earning the win in net for RIT.
  • Megan Wampner made five saves for the Engineers.
  • RIT is unbeaten in its last five games, including a three-game winning streak.

RIT returns to action Saturday (Oct. 16) versus Skidmore at 2:00 PM. The Tigers will honor the senior class prior to kick-off.
