GENEVA, NY – The RIT men's tennis team (4-5, 0-4 Liberty League) lost on the road at Liberty League foe Hobart College (3-1, 1-0 Liberty League), 9-0 from Bristol Field House Sunday afternoon.
Hobart took all three doubles matches to open up the early lead. RIT's second doubles team of
Nick Lim (West Caldwell, NJ/West Caldwell) and
Patrick Mathews (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) made a good run before falling to Thomas Shung and Jon Atwater, 8-4.
In singles play, the Statesmen allowed RIT to take just eight games in completing the shutout.
RIT is off until March 23, when they head to Liberty League foe Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for a match at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23.
