ROCHESTER, NY -- It was another busy and exciting week for RIT Athletics. Here is a look back to last week and a brief look ahead to another action-packed weekend of events at RIT for the week of March 28, 2017. For more information, check out www.ritathletics.com.

No. 8 Men's Lacrosse (5-2, 1-1 Liberty League):
Last Week: RIT lost at Clarkson 9-6 on Saturday. It was the first loss in 39 Liberty League regular season or tournament games dating back to 2012. Braden Wallace (Oakville, Ontario/Abbey Park) scored twice and Kyle Killen (Peterborough, ON/Crestwood Secondary High School) tallied a goal and an assist for the Tigers. Patrick Hannigan (Hanover, MA/Hanover) had seven ground balls and five caused turnovers, while Nick Nesbitt (Burlington, Ontario/Salisbuury School) made 11 saves in net.

Last Week's Results:
3/25     Clarkson 9, RIT 6

This Week: RIT, ranked eighth in this week's USILA Division III poll, will face No. 20 Middlebury College on Tuesday, at the Carrier Dome on the campus of Syracuse University. The Tigers won an 11-10 thriller in last year's match-up at the Dome. RIT hosts No. 4 St. Lawrence on Saturday in a critical Liberty League showdown.

3/28     vs. No. 20 Middlebury College (Carrier Dome) – 7:30 p.m.
4/1       vs. No. 4 St Lawrence – 1 p.m.
 
Women's Lacrosse (4-2):
Last Week: RIT went 1-1 in a pair of non-conference games. The Tigers lost 15-11 to SUNY Geneseo on Thursday, but rebounded to beat SUNY Oswego, 14-4 on Saturday. Versus Geneseo, Emily Livecchi (Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy) tallied five goals and added an assist, while Alanna Fallone (Penfield, NY/Penfield) tallied three goals. Geneseo scored three goals in the last 90 seconds to pull away. Elizabeth Hughes (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) took the loss in net, making eight saves.

Fallone, Sydney DaCosta (New Bedford, MA/Bishop Stang) and Nicole Bingo (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) each tallied three goals as RIT scored nine second-half goals to beat SUNY Oswego on Saturday. Rebekah Snitkoff (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield Warde) got the win in net, making five saves. Maegen Schmauder had a goal and an assist, while Livecchi handed out a pair of assists.

This Week: RIT hosts Nazareth College on Tuesday, in the Tigers final non-conference game of the season. RIT begins Liberty League play with a pair of road contests this weekend. The Tigers play at Rensselaer on Friday, and wrap up the week with a game at Skidmore College on Saturday afternoon.   

This Week's Schedule:
3/28     vs. Nazareth College – 4 p.m.
3/31     at Rensselaer – 4 p.m.
4/1       at Skidmore College – 2 p.m.

Baseball (3-4):
Last Week: RIT did not play due to inclement weather.

This Week: RIT is scheduled to play a single game at No. 24 St. John Fisher Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The Tigers play a weekend series at Rensselaer beginning on Saturday, April 1. Stay tuned to www.ritathletics.com for news, updates and schedule changes this weekend.

Softball (10-3)
Last Week: RIT did not play due to inclement weather.

Women's Tennis (4-6, 0-4 Liberty League):
Last Week: RIT lost 8-1 at Hamilton on Sunday. RIT took the opening point of the day, as the doubles team of Amelia Young and Diana Kulawiec (Fairport, NY/Fairport) won a grueling match, 8-7.

Last Week's Results:
3/26     Hamilton 8, RIT 1

This Week: RIT will face Nazareth College on Friday, March 31 at 4 p.m. in Pittsford, N.Y.

This Week's Schedule:
3/31     at Nazareth College – 4 p.m.

Men's Tennis (1-5, 1-2 Liberty League):
Last Week: RIT fell on the road to non-league foe Hamilton College 7-2 on Sunday. Chandler Daub (Kailua-Kona, HI/Kealakehe) and Ben Lynaugh (Fairport, NY/Fairport) opened the day by winning a tremendously close match at first doubles over Lars Scannell and Burke Paxton, 9-8. The match was tied at 8-8 before going to the tiebreaker, which RIT's duo took 8-6. Daub would win his first singles match as well, knocking off Max McKee-Proctor at first singles, 7-6, 7-6.

This Week: RIT will host LeMoyne College on Sunday, April 2 at 1 p.m.

This Week: RIT returns to action on Saturday, April 1 at Canisius and on Sunday, April 2 at Mercyhurst University beginning.
