ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT (5-7, 3-3 Liberty League) women's lacrosse team snapped its three-game losing skid with a convincing 17-3 win over Bard College (1-9, 0-6 Liberty League) on Saturday at the sun-drenched RIT Turf Field. With the win, RIT improves to 4-0 all time versus the Raptors. Prior to the game, RIT honored seniors

Kirsten Francis (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley).
Shots were 29-10 in favor of RIT, winning the ground ball battle, 27-18. The Tigers went 10-of-20 on clearing attempts, and were 4-for-5 on free position attempts.
Freshman
Emily Livecchi (Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy) led RIT with six points on four goals and two assists. Classmate
Maegan Schmauder (Franklin, MA/Franklin) tallied career-high four goals.
Brooks Melnyk (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville East) tallied two goals, while
Sage Sarkis (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) added three goals and two assists.
Kristina Glitch (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta),
Sammy Ward (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) and
Nicole Bingo (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) each scored a goal, while
Sophie Dower (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) dished out an assist.
Caitlin Conway (Landisville, PA/Hempfield) got the start in net, picking up her fifth win of the season making a save.
Elizabeth Hughes (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) played 25 minutes and made three saves.
Joann Regan led Bard with three goals. Kaylynn Tran got the start in net for Bard, taking the loss making seven saves.
The Tigers led 12-0 at the half and outscored the Raptors 5-3 in the second half. Livecchi scored three of her four goals in the first half, while Schmauder and Sarkis each tallied two goals.
Regan got Bard on the Bard when she converted a free position attempt at 25:51 of the second half. She scored a gain with 16:15 to play and rounded out the scoring for the Raptors with her free position goal with 8:17 to play in regulation.
RIT returns to action on Friday, April 17 when the Tigers travel to Saratoga Springs to face Liberty League foe Skidmore College at 4 p.m.
