GENESEO, NY – The RIT (4-7-0) men's soccer fell to SUNY Geneseo (6-4-3), 1-0 in double overtime in non-league action Wednesday evening from the College Stadium complex. Geneseo's Matt D'Amico scored the game winner in the 106th minute.
Shots were 21-6 in favor of the Knights. The Tigers took four corner kicks to six by SUNY Geneseo. Peter Cinibulk (Bellbrook, OH/Bellbrook) took the loss in net for RIT, making seven saves. Logan Calvey got the win for the Knights, making two saves.After a scoreless first half, RIT's 
Geno Rocco (Apalachin, NY/Vestal) had a great chance in the 69th minute. He took a cross-field service and hit a shot first time that Calvey got over and made the save. 
Cinibulk kept the Tigers in the game with a great save in the 84th minute. Kevin McGrath took a shot first time from about 10 yards out that Cinibulk was able to tip over the cross bar and keep the game scoreless.
In the first overtime Geneseo's Ethan Gunty took a shot from 18 yars out off an attempted clearance by the Tigers defense. But his shot ricocheted off a RIT defender and out of play.
The Tigers best chance came in the 95th minute. 
Ryan McMaster (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) got by his defender down the Geneseo left flank, creating a 2-on-1 for the Tigers. McMaster centered a pass to 
Tyler Hatch (Concord, NH/Tilton School), who was making the run down the center. Hatch's shot sailed over the cross bar and out of play.
In the second overtime, Connor Beisner played a ball into the RIT penalty area. Cinibulk came off his line to cut off the pass, but D'Amico arrived at the ball a split second before the RIT goalkeeper, chipping the ball into the net for the game winner.
With the loss, RIT falls to 28-19-2 all time versus Geneseo. The Tigers have not beaten the Knights since 2001.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 10 when they face Clarkson University at 2 p.m. on the grass at Tiger Stadium.
