ROCHESTER, NY –
The RIT men's hockey team returns home for the first time in 41 days to play a pair of contests against Atlantic Hockey Association foe Army on Friday and Saturday at Ritter Arena. Both games will get underway at 7:05 p.m. Tickets still remain for both contests.

Starting this weekend, RIT plays nine of its next 10 games at home, where they are 66-20-13 in the regular season against league foes since joining in 2006-07.

Tim Horton's and Texas Roadhouse are Friday's game sponsors, while M&T Bank will sponsor Saturday's contest. Friday is also a Junior Tiger Club game.

RIT (6-11-2, 5-7-1 AHA) comes into the weekend series looking to get back in the win column after a pair of losses at Bentley last week. Senior Mike Colavecchia (Maple, Ontario/Lindsay Muskies) became the sixth Tiger in RIT's Division I era to reach 100 points for his career with a pair of assists in last Friday's contest at Bentley.  Colavecchia has 101 points on 39 goals and 62 assists in his RIT career.

Eight players have at least 10 points this season.

Army enters this weekend's games looking to snap a five-game losing streak. Last weekend, Army lost a pair of home games to fellow service academy Air Force, by scores of 3-1 and 4-2. The Black Knights sit 12th in the AHA standings with six points. C.J. Reuschlein, Shane Hearn, and Clint Carlisle lead the team in scoring with nine points each. Reuschlein has a team-best seven goals. The Black Knights have 11 players with at least five points. Army has been outscored by its opponents, 85-37 this season. In net, Rob Tadazak is 3-15-0 with a 4.17 goals against average and .876 save percentage this season.

RIT leads the all-time series between the two schools, 11-2-5 and is 4-1-3 against the Black Knights at Ritter Arena. The Tigers have a 13-game unbeaten streak (10-0-3) against Army dating back to Nov. 14, 2008, outscoring the Black Knights 49-25 over that stretch. Last season, the Tigers defeated the Black Knights by scores of 6-5 and 4-2 at Army.

Tickets are available for both games at the Gordon Field House and Activities Center Box Office or by phone at (585) 475-4121. Fans can also purchase tickets at www.rithockey.com.
