ROCHESTER, NY –
The RIT women's hockey team travels west to face College Hockey America foe Robert Morris University, ranked No. 10 nationally. Friday's contest begins at 7 p.m., while Saturday's game gets underway at 3 p.m.

Last weekend, the Tigers earned third place honors at the Nutmeg Classic hosted by Quinnipiac University. On Friday, the Tigers fell to No. 8 Quinnipiac, 8-0 and rebounded to defeat Connecticut in overtime on Saturday, 4-3. Erin Zach (Elmira, Ontario/Cambridge Fury) scored the game-winner 2:06 into overtime and added two assists. Marissa Maugeri (Ajax, Ontario/Durham West Lightning) added a goal and two assists and was plus-4 in the win. Celeste Brown (Great Falls, MT/National Sports Academy) tied the game with 1:52 left in regulation. In net, Jetta Rackleff (Bend, OR/Summit) picked up her first collegiate win, stopping 42 shots. Zach, who played in her 100th career game on Saturday, was named to the Nutmeg Classic All-Tournament Team.

RIT has five players with at least 10 points this season. In goal, Ali Binnington (Oakville, Ontario/Mississauga Chiefs) is 8-4-1 with a 1.97 goals against average and .933 save percentage.

Robert Morris enters this weekend ranked No. 10 nationally with a 14-3-1 overall record. The Colonials are riding a seven-game unbeaten streak (6-0-1) and have an 11-1-1 mark in their last 13 games dating back to Oct. 19. Brittany Howard, the reigning CHA Player of the Week, leads the team in scoring with 25 points on 10 goals and 15 assists. The Colonials have three more players with at least 10 points in Rebecca Vint (17), Thea Imbrogno (14), and Kristen Richards (14). In net, freshman Jessica Dodds is an astounding 11-0-1 with a 1.48 goals against average and .931 save percentage.

RIT leads the all-time series between the two schools 4-2-1. The two teams met three teams between 2007 and 2008. Last season, RIT went 3-0-1 against the Colonials, allowing just four goals in the four contests. The Tigers won both games at Robert Morris by identical 2-1 scores, and returned home later in the season to skate to a 2-2 tie and earn a 2-0 win.

Both games will be broadcast online and live stats are also available.
