ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT women's hockey team wraps up a six-game October home stand with a pair of games against non-conference foe Brown University. Friday's game will get underway at 7 p.m., while Saturday's contest starts at 3 p.m.
RIT split a weekend series for the third straight weekend, this time against Colgate. On Friday, RIT defeated Colgate in a "road" contest, 2-0 at the Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex on the campus of Monroe Community College. #
Ali Binnington (Oakville, Ontario/Mississauga Chiefs)# made 24 saves for her 10th career shutout, while #
Mackenzie Stone (Kars, Ontario/South Carleton) and
Lauren Klein (Shoreview, MN/Mounds View)# scored their first collegiate goals in the win. On Saturday, goaltender #
Jetta Rackleff (Bend, OR/Summit)# made her collegiate debut stopping 27 shots, but RIT ran into penalty problems in overtime, allowing a 5-on-3 goal in a 2-1 loss to the Raiders. #
Kourtney Kunichika (Fullerton, CA/LA Selects)# scored RIT's lone goal.

Kolbee McCrea (Wawa, Ontario/Burlington Barracudas)#, and Kunichika lead the Tigers in scoring with six points apiece. Kunichika has a team-best five goals and on Friday, will play in her 100th career game. She is one goal shy of 50 for her career, while
Kolbee McCrea (Wawa, Ontario/Burlington Barracudas) is three shy. In goal, Binnington is 3-3-0 with a 2.95 goals against average and .911 save percentage.
Brown opens the 2013-14 season this weekend. The Bears finished last season with a 6-20-1 record. Jessica Hoyle returns as the Bears leading scorer, tallying 12 points last year on five goals and seven assists. In goal, Aubree Moore is back after going 4-12-1 with a 2.27 goals against average and .921 save percentage. The Bears averaged 1.56 goals per game in 2012-13.
RIT is 5-5-1 against Brown. Last season, the Tigers won a pair of road games against Brown by scores of 2-0 and 2-1.

This is the final season that RIT will play at historic Ritter Arena. In 2014-15, RIT will move into the Gene Polisseni Center, which is expected to seat 4,200 fans. Come out, support the Tigers, and "Rock the Ritter".
