Men's basketball loses 83-60 at Skidmore

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY -- The RIT men's basketball team (4-9, 0-4 Liberty League) was beaten by Skidmore College (9-5, 3-2 Liberty League) 83-60 in Liberty League action from Saratoga Springs Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers trailed 45-31 at the half, and were outscored 38-29 in the second half, losing their fifth straight game.

The Tigers shot 47.1 percent from the floor on 24-of-51 shooting. The Tigers were 1-of-10 from behind the arc and made 11-of-27 free throws. Brendan Reinert (Wheatfield, NY/Starpoint), Nick Dobson (Corning, NY/Corning West) and Casey Bobelis (Brandenton, FL/Braden River) each had 11 points to lead the Tigers. Dave Lynch (Seneca Falls, NY/Mynderse Academy) added 10 points.

Tanner Brooks led Skidmore with 23 points who shot 58.5 percent from the floor and were 14-of-22 from three point land.

RIT returns to action next weekend when the Tigers travel to Clarkson to take on the Golden Knights at 8 pm in Potsdam, New York.
