ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (8-6) women's lacrosse set a school record for most goals in a game, tallying 25 in a 25-14 win over Roberts Wesleyan College in non-conference action from a rainy and cold RIT Field on Saturday. The win improves the TIgers to 8-6 on the season, while the Raiders fall to 5-7.
RIT outshot Roberts Welseyan 44-29, and won the ground ball battle 37-14. The Tigers were 15-of-19 on clearing attempts, while the Raders were 9-of-11 on clears.

Allison Kendall led Roberts Welseyan with six goals. Theresa Catteau and Vanessa Sell each had three goals for the Raiders. Stephanie McClure took the loss in goal, making 11 saves.
Leading 13-11 at the half, RIT broke the game open in the second half with a seven goal run to open the half, taking a 20-11 lead on Augustyn's 14th goal of the season off an assist from #
Tina Podrasky (Scranton, PA/Wyoming Seminary)#, who had four on the afternoon. Lampson and Caruso each had two goals in the run for the Tigers.
Lampson's fifth goal with 11:08 to play in regulation gave RIT a 22-13 lead and broke the record for most goals in a game, breaking the old record of 21 which had been done three times before, including earlier this season in a 21-0 win at Bard.
RIT has now scored 200 goals on the season and need 34 more to tie the all-time record for goals in a season of 234 set back in 2005.
The Tigers will go for the record on Friday, April 27 when RIT returns to Liberty League action hosting William Smith College at 4 pm.
