ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT women's hockey team plays its final two home games of the 2012 calendar year this weekend, as they welcome College Hockey America foe Lindenwood to Ritter Arena. Saturday's contest begins at 7 p.m., while Sunday's game gets underway at 2 p.m.
RIT (6-9-2, 1-3-2 CHA) returns home for its first Ritter Arena contests in 35 days. The Tigers concluded their seven-game road swing last weekend by dropping a pair of contests at Ohio State. RIT lost on Saturday by a score of 3-1, then fell 6-2 on Sunday. On Saturday, #

RIT enters the weekend looking to snap a five-game losing streak. RIT had not lost five straight contests since the 1994-95 season, when they had losing streaks of five and six games, respectively.
Kourtney Kunichika (Fullerton, CA/LA Selects) is just three points shy of 100 for her career.
RIT is officially halfway through its first Division I season. The Tigers play 14 of their final 17 games against CHA foes. RIT plays 10 of its final 17 games at Ritter Arena. RIT's final 10 contests will be against CHA opponents.
Lindenwood (1-13-0, 1-9-0 CHA) enters this weekend with a 1-13-0 record, including a 1-3-0 record in CHA play. The Lions picked up their lone win on Nov. 16, 5-1 at Penn State. Lindenwood has played 10 games against teams from the WCHA. Last time out, the Lions dropped a pair of home games against St. Cloud State, 3-1 and 3-2. Lindenwood has been out-scored by its opponents, 65-19. Alison Wickenheiser and Chelsea Witwicke lead the team in scoring with seven points apiece. Allyson Arcibal leads the team with four goals. In net, Nicole Hensley has played in 12 games, recording a 1-10-0 mark with a 4.16 goals against average and .912 save percentage.
RIT and Lindenwood have never met before. The two teams will also meet for a pair of games in Lindenwood on Feb. 1-2.The Lady Lions are in the second season as a Division I program.
