CHILI, NY -- The RIT (1-3) men's basketball team was defeated by SUNY Geneseo (3-3) 67-58 in the seventh place game of the 47th Annual Wendy's College Classic on the campus of Roberts Wesleyan College on Saturday afternoon.

Jameel Balenton (Syracuse, NY/Christian Brothers), who was an All-Classic second team selection, led RIT with 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting, including 2-of-4 from three point range. Ronnie Canestro (Buffalo, NY/Nichols School) came off the bench to score eight points, while Eric Travis (Chicago,IL/Hinsdale South) added six points and grabbed seven rebounds.

The Tigers shot 36 percent from the floor on 18-of-50 shooting. RIT was 5-of-11 from behind the arc, and were 17-of-27 from the foul line. RIT lost the rebounding battle, 67-58, while committing 13 turnovers.

RIT returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 8 when the Tigers opne up Liberty League action with a game versus Union College at 3 pm on the floor of Clark Gymnasium.
