ROCHESTER, NY - Norwich (25-4-1) wins the 2011 NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Championship, defeating host RIT (26-2-2) at Ritter Arena, on Saturday, March 19. Norwich took a 5-1 lead after 40 minutes and held on to defeat Gustavus Adolphus (22-5-3) 5-4 in the first semifinal. RIT scored three second period goals to defeat Middlebury (23-5-1) in the second semifinal. Middlebury defeated Gustavus, 5-0 in the third place game.
