WILLIAMSPORT, PA -- The RIT men's wrestling team went 1-2 at the Budd Whitehill National Duals on Friday at Lycoming College. The team defeated Muskingum 26-21, and fell to Wabash, 34-11, and John Carroll, 40-7.

#Mike McInally (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen)#, second in the nation at 133 lbs., went 3-0 on Friday. He defeated Oscar Trujillo of Wabash by technical fall (16-0), Kevin Nycz of John Carroll 10-2, and Mike Halko of Muskingum 6-1. His overall record in 2010-11 improved to 16-0.

#Sean Sercu (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney)# picked up three wins at 157 lbs. defeating Graham Youngs of Wabash, 5-0, John Carroll's Vinnie Pizzuli, 2-0, and Tommy Patterson of Muskingum on a technical fall at 4:35. #Tyler Brent (Gasport, NY/Royalton-Hartland)# (174 lbs.) won two matches defeating Von Wasson of Wabash, 5-2, and Muskingum's Mike Frasure, 12-6.

Also earning wins for RIT were #Mike Nguyen (Syracuse, NY/Jordan-Elbridge)# versus John Carroll, and Brandon Thoutte (141 lbs.), and #Nick Stewart (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin)# (HWT), each defeating Muskingum.

The Tigers will play in one match on Saturday to complete their weekend tournament.
