PITTSBURGH, PA - Junior forward #Sarah Dagg (St. George, Ontario/Hamilton Hawks)# became the seventh player in the history of the RIT women''s hockey program to record 100 career points, as the RIT women's hockey team (13-4-3, 8-3-2 ECAC West) defeated Chatham, 7-1 on Sunday afternoon. Dagg tallied four points on two goals and two assists in the win.
Dagg now has 100 points (39-61-100) in 72 career games. She leads RIT with 33 points (11-22-33) in 20 games this season. Dagg has 24 points (8-16-24) in 13 ECAC West contests.
The Tigers rattled off six straight goals after Chatham tied the game at 1 in the first period.
Fellow junior #Katie Stack (Batavia, NY/Rochester Edge)# scored twice, giving her 24 on the season, tops in Division III. #Amanda Klassen (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Warner Warriors)#, #Ellesha Fortuna (Burlington, Ontario/Burlington Barracudas)#, and #Belina Hooper (Meaford, Ontario/Saugeen Maitland Lightning)# also scored for the Tigers, who have won three straight games. #Kylie Mazzetta (Lakewood, CO/Colorado Selects)# added a pair of assists. Fortuna also recorded two points (1-1-2).
RIT goaltender #Amy Torgerson (Owatonna, MN/Gilmour Academy)# picked up her eighth win of the season, stopping 13 shots. RIT out-shot Chatham, 60-14.
Senior forward #Missy Hall (Chesterland, OH/Gilmour Academy)# played in her 100th career game this afternoon.
The Tigers tallied their seventh shorthanded goal of the season.
The two teams conclude their season series on Monday, as the two teams play at 12 p.m. Monday's game is a make-up date after Saturday's contest was postponed due to inclement weather.
