ITHACA, NY – The RIT wrestling team (0-3) remained winless in the 2010-11 season, falling to fourth-ranked Ithaca (6-0), 35-6 on Wednesday evening at Ben Light Gymnasium.
Senior #
Mike McInally (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen)#, ranked second nationally at 133 lbs., won the match of the evening, defeating No. 5 Seth Ecker of the Bombers, 10-4. McInally is now 10-0 this season.
At 141 lbs., Brandon Thoutte earned a 6-2 win over Junior Amazan for RIT. It would be RIT's final victory of the evening
The Bombers are now 42-16 against the Tigers and have won 12 in a row – the longest winning streak ever in the series.
RIT returns to action Saturday, hosting SUNY Cortland for a 1 p.m. match. It is RIT's final match of the 2010 calendar year.
