ROCHESTER, NY – The No. 1 RIT women's hockey team (13-0-0) set a program record by recording its 13th straight victory, rolling to a 7-1 win over Hamilton (3-5-0) at Tate Rink on Friday evening. Freshman forward Kolbie McCrea netted the hat-trick for RIT.
McCrea scored two even strength goals in the second period, and a shorthanded goal in the final frame. She now is tied for the team lead with 11 goals in 13 games.

Katie Stack (Batavia, NY/Rochester Edge)# also scored for the Tigers, who are now out-scoring opponents, 78-11 this season. #
Melissa Bromley (Aurora, Ontario/Aurora Panthers)# added two assists. Stack and Dagg each recorded two points on the evening.
RIT broke the game open with four second period goals, making the score 5-1 Tigers. The Tigers were 1-for-5 with the power-play, while holding Hamilton scoreless in five attempts with the man-advantage.
The Tigers out-shot Hamilton, 46-16. Sophomore goaltender #
Carley King (Tinley Park, IL)# made 15 saves to record her fourth win of the season.
Katie Zimmerman scored Hamilton's lone goal. Becca Hazlett took the loss in net, stopping 22 shots in two periods. Tori Bogen made 17 saves in the final period.
RIT did have a 12-game winning streak during the 2001-02 season. The 13-0-0 start is the best in program history. RIT is now 33-4-1 all-time against the Continentals.
The Tigers are finished with play for the 2010 calendar year. They return to action on Friday and Saturday, January 7-8 at Adrian College.
