ROCHESTER, NY – The No. 3 women's hockey team (4-0-0, 2-0-0 ECAC West) picked up its third consecutive shutout, blanking SUNY Cortland (0-3-0, 0-2-0 ECAC West) 6-0 at Ritter Arena on Saturday evening. RIT has not allowed a goal in 197:41.

Katie Stack (Batavia, NY/Rochester Edge)# scored two goals and added an assist to lead the way offensively for the Tigers, who out-shot the Red Dragons, 56-11.

Carley King (Tinley Park, IL)#, making her first start of the season, recorded the shutout, stopping 11 shots. Her best save came right at the end of the second period, while Cortland was on a two-man advantage, robbing Cara Latchum from in tight with the right pad off a rebound.
Katie Double stopped 50 shots for the Red Dragons.
RIT was 2-for-5 with the power-play and held Cortland scoreless in eight attempts with the man-advantage. The Tigers had to kill off two separate long Cortland two-man advantages during the contest.
Like last evening, the Tigers scored three times in a dominating first period, as they out-shot the Red Dragons, 23-2.
Cortland killed off a full two-minute 5-on-3 power-play, before the Tigers erupted for three goals in a span of 1:16.
Schlattman scored her first of the season at the 12:26 mark, walking out of the corner, and ripping a shot over Double's shoulder off assists from #
Liz Gemmiti (Toronto, Ontario/Brampton Thunder)# and Dagg.
Dagg scored her third goal of the year at the 13:21 mark, scoring from the seat of her pants in tight after #
Danielle Read (Brantford, Ontario/Hamilton Hawks)#'s point shot was stopped by Double. Stack also assisted on the goal.
Just 21 seconds later, Stack wired a shot past Double off the crossbar and in off assists from #

RIT continued its onslaught in the second period, scoring twice to make it 5-0 after 40 minutes of play.
Zach, Kunichika, and Yokoyama combined on RIT's fourth goal, at 8:39 of the period, to make it 4-0.
Yokoyama found Kunichika who fired a shot that was stopped by Double. The rebound came to Zach at the side of the goal, who converted for her second goal in as many nights.
Stack tallied her second goal of the game, on the power-play, completing a pretty tic-tac-toe passing play from Yokoyama and Kuncihika, ripping a shot from the slot past Double to make it 5-0.
Fortuna scored her first goal of the season, midway through the final stanza, ripping a wrist shot in the slot past Double off assists from Kunichika and Yokoyama.
Last night, the Tigers blanked Cortland, 7-0, with Hiller scoring twice and adding an assist for RIT.
The Tigers are off to a tremendous start this season, outscoring their opposition, 24-1 in four contests this season.
RIT has now won 17 straight over the Red Dragons and leads the all-time series between the two schools, 17-8. RIT has outscored the Red Dragons, 119-14 during the streak.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, as they travel to face ECAC West rival Utica. Face-off is at 2 p.m.
