PLATTSBURGH, NY -
Despite scoring twice in a span of 1:07 late in the third period, the No. 4 RIT women's hockey (10-3-3, 5-2-2 ECAC West) could not get past No. 3 SUNY Plattsburgh, (11-1-1, 9-0-1 ECAC West) falling to the Cardinals, 4-3 at Stafford Ice Arena on Friday.

Up 2-1 heading into the final period, Plattsburgh scored goals 1:40 apart to take a 4-1 lead and chase RIT goaltender #Amy Torgerson (Owatonna, MN/Gilmour Academy)# from the game.

With RIT netminder #Carley King (Tinley Park, IL)# pulled for an extra attacker, #Missy Hall (Chesterland, OH/Gilmour Academy) took a feed from (Tinley Park, IL)Arianne Yokoyama# and scored with 1:22 left to make the score 4-2 Cardinals.  The goal was Hall's eighth of the season.

#Katie Stack (Batavia, NY/Rochester Edge)# tallied her 17th goal of the season with 15 seconds left on a power-play to complete the scoring.

After a scoreless first period, Stephanie Moberg and Megan DiJulio scored second period goals to give the Cardinals 2-0 lead.  #Traci Galbraith (Oakville, Ontario/Burlington Jr. Barracudas)# answered back on the power-play with her second goal of the season to make the score 2-1.

Both teams scored two power-play goals.  RIT was 2-for-7, while Plattsburgh was 2-for-5.  Hall led RIT with a goal and an assist.

The Tigers have never been swept in a weekend since joining the ECAC West conference in 2007.  RIT is now 2-7-0 all-time against the Cardinals.
