ONEONTA, NY -- The RIT women's basketball team was defeated by Hartwick College 60-33 in Empire 8 action on Sunday afternoon. The loss drops RIT to 3-14 overall and 0-8 in the Empire 8.
The Tigers trailed 30-16 at the half and never recovered. RIT shot 8-of-26 from the floor in the first half and were 0-for-5 from three-point land.
RIT shot 28.8% from the floor on the game on 15-of-52 shooting. The Tigers went 0-for-8 from behind the arc and were out-rebounded 38-45.
#Sharon Dennis (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool)# (Liverpool, NY) was the lone Tiger to score in double figures, tallying 11 points. The freshman forward also grabbed six boards.

Kelly Votolato (Raynham, MA/Cranston East)# (Raynham, MA/Cranston East) each had seven rebounds which paced the Tigers.
RIT will look the break their 10-game losing streak next Friday night at Utica College. Tip-off is at 6 pm.
