In addition, Jones, defenseman #Lindsay Littman (Eaglesham, Alberta/Warner Warriors)# (Eaglesham, Alberta) and goaltender #Sandra Grant (Abbotsford, British Columbia/Pacific Steelers)# (Abbotsford, British Columbia) all won a national title as sophomores with SUNY Plattsburgh in 2006-07 before transferring to RIT before the start of the 2007-08 season.

SUNY Plattsburgh (10-2-1, 7-2-0 ECAC West) moved back into the top spot in Division III after consecutive road wins over #4 Elmira, #5 Amherst and Connecticut College.  Since the start of the 2005-06 season, the Cardinals have an 88-8-4 record (.900 win%). The Cardinals are led by 2007-08 Laura Hurd Award winner (top player in Division III women's hockey) Danielle Blanchard. A senior, Blanchard is second on the team in points with 14.
