ROCHESTER, NY –
The #6 RIT women's hockey team (11-1-2, 7-1-1 ECAC West) pushed its unbeaten streak to 10 games after easily upending visiting Chatham (1-11-1, 1-6-0 ECAC West) 6-0 on Saturday afternoon at Ritter Arena.

The line of #Keltie Jones (Burlington, Ontario/Burlington Jr. Barracudas)# (Burlington, Ontario), #Katie Stack (Batavia, NY/Rochester Edge)# (Batavia, NY) and #Sarah Dagg (St. George, Ontario/Hamilton Hawks)# (St. George, Ontario) combined for 10 points. Stack recorded two goals and teo assists, while Dagg and Jones had a goal and two assists each. #Amanda Klassen (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Warner Warriors)# (Winnipeg, Manitoba) added a goal and two assists as well in the win.

RIT out-shot Chatham 53-20. Tiger goaltender Sandra Grant (Abbotsford, British Columbia/Pacific Steelers) (Abbotsford, British Columbia) stopped all 20 shots she faced for her second shutout of the season. Brenn Scott made 47 saves in defeat for Chatham

The Tigers started a bit slow, but scored three times over the final 10 minutes of the first period to take a 3-0 lead into the intermission.

Jones, Stack and Dagg combined for eight of the nine points in the opening period. Jones converted a rebound from in tight at the 10:37 mark for her seventh goal of the year. Stack stuffed a shot off the back boards just over the line on a power-play at the 15:12 mark, while Dagg converted a nifty three-way passing play in front of the net at the 18:39 mark.

RIT out-shot Chatham 19-6 in the first period.
The Tigers ran into penalty trouble in the second period, allowing five Chatham power-plays. RIT was able to kill all five off successfully.

Freshman forward #Ali Hills# (Honeoye Falls, NY) ripped a slap-shot from the high slot over the glove of Scott for her ninth goal of the year at the 9:25 mark of the second period, making it 4-0 RIT. #Shireen Irani (Calgary, Alberta/PSA Chaos)# (Calgary, Alberta) and Klassen assisted on the goal while both teams were playing 4-on-4.

Klassen and Dagg combined for a nifty goal, just as RIT went on a power-play early in the third period. The duo broke in on a 2-on-1, with Dagg feeding Klassen on the right side. Klassen roofed of a shot off the crossbar and in for her eighth goal of the season.

Stack completed the scoring minutes later, as RIT kept solid pressure in the Chatham zone. #Kylie Mazzetta (Lakewood, CO/Colorado Selects)# (Lakewood, CO) intercepted a clearing attempt at the left point, and fed #Kelley Prom (Grafton, WI/Wisconsin Wild)# (Grafton, WI), who found Stack streaking off the bench. Stack slid a shot between the legs of Scott from the slot for her second goal of the day and eighth tally of the season.

RIT, who entered this weekend as the highest scoring team in the nation, improved on that total. The Tigers now have 76 goals in 14 games (5.43 per game).

The Tigers remain in first place in the ECAC West conference with 15 points.

RIT has out-scored its foes 59-18 during its 10-game unbeaten streak.

RIT is 3-0-0 all-time against the Cougars. Last season, RIT fired 156 shots on goal in the two victories over Chatham.

The two teams wrap up their weekend series on Sunday at 2 p.m.
